Crochet is a form of Yarn art. It is the ability to interlock loops of yarn together with the use of a crochet hook. It dates back as far as the early 1800’s. The word crochet appeared in a Dutch magazine called ‘Penelope’ in which they were advertising a variety of crochet purses. Today crochet is still considered a popular pastime, said to improve hand eye coordination and relieve stress. It popularity has never wavered and still going from strength to strength. Celebrities like Katy Perry and Aretha Franklin have been known to take up the hobby during their downtime.
